About the art
Artist statement
This artwork belongs to a serie called "Dream Landscapes", which are landscapes inspired by works by landscape painters, they can also be made of trips I made, or by photographs of places I have seen in magazines or on the Internet. In this case, this landscape is an interpretation of an artwork entitled "In the sanctuary of Akiba in Ukeji", from the series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (1857) Utagawa Hiroshige, a great Japanese master of the ukiyo-e style. In this painting you can see a river that flows into a sea in which the small islets are confused with the clouds, as if there was no horizon.
This painting has painted edges, so there is no need to frame it, it is ready to hang.
