Artist statement
It’s easy to guess what was the idea for this work - donuts covered with multi-colored glaze!
The composition of this painting is based on the contrast of color and texture. The background of the work is made using grey and silver and has a wavy pattern with a glossy finish, while the «donuts» are made in pastel colors and have a soft matte texture. This contrast is also enhanced by the relief outlines of the colored details. The sides of the canvas are part of the composition, so the painting is ready to hang without an additional frame. The canvas is signed on the back.
