About the art
Artist statement
The texture of this piece imitates metal plates with many rivets. The combination of black background and bright silver creates a feeling of melted, old metal, which is characteristic of industrial aesthetics with its special attractiveness. Every detail is deliberate, evoking the raw textures of urban life and the rhythm of industry with a vintage touch.
The canvas is not stretched on a supported frame. For stretching the canvas, 10 cm are left on each side for the overlap on the stretcher, of which 5 cm are painted in the colors of the work; thus, when the canvas is stretched on the supported frame, the sides of the canvas will become part of the composition and the painting will not need a frame. The canvas is signed on the back.
