Artist statement
The old mirrors blurred by time gave the idea of this piece.
This painting is made in different shades of grey and silver. Depending on the direction of the light the work makes a various visual effect: direct sunlight makes the shining of silver active, while if the light comes in from the side, the nuances of various silver shades become pronounced. The yellowish shade of silver on the edges of the canvas gives the artwork a vintage chic.
The sides of the canvas are part of the composition, so the painting is ready to hang without an additional frame. The hand-stretched canvas is signed on the back.
