About the art
Artist statement
This work is about personal changes, the metaphor for which is the change of seasons. Summer turns to autumn, flowers lose their petals, and their core loses colours. The sky is so low, so it cuts off the forms of flowers from the viewer and the “below world” of the painting, making them inaccessible memories preserved in time. One period ends, but a new road lies ahead, which spreads out, widens before the viewer, saying, “when one dies, something new will definitely take its place.”
