Artist statement
This painting was part of a series that was painted on a black gessoed surface. I wanted to see how the color would contrast against the Black background. I used large brushes and squeegees to apply the paint. This is a multi-layered Abstract painting inspired from my photography of distressed surfaces.
The painting is on stretched canvas and the sides are painted, so there is no need for framing.
