Artist statement
This Painting was inspired by my photography of wall surfaces. I love exploring different materials to produce textures in my work. In this case I used layered cheesecloth for its unique texture. The material shows through even with the layering of paint to add a dynamic aspect to the painting. I hope viewers enjoy the experience of color interaction and textures.
