Artist statement
This series developed out of the research work I conducted during 2020, about how we hold our stories and our histories in our bodies. I look to nature to see what I can't see within myself, or to find a new perspective. In nature I find grace as well as fragility, even in epic moments such as the dying process, or at least the returning to earth. It is my way of honouring those parts of our lives that are more challenging to look at - and looking for beauty in all things.
