Artist statement
The sculpture is solid and has the appearance of concrete but nowhere near as heavy as real concrete. It's made of a mixture of media with paint mixed through, rather than painted on top. It has the texture and feel of concrete and is part of an ongoing series of sculptures that look solid but have a saggy shape - like misshapen pieces of ageing Brutalist architecture
