Artist statement
The hypersexualization of women has long been used to undermine their integrity. This piece represents the reclamation of that power, transforming it into a form of empowerment and resistance. Inspired by Lysistrata’s wardrobe in Chiraq, which prominently features lingerie as a symbol of confidence and strength, this work serves as a reminder of the movie's message: "No Peace, No Piece”.
