Cairo is a unique architectural mix. More than 4000 years of history from the pyramids of Gizeh, the Coptic churches and monasteries, the mosques and mausoleums of the Arab period, the modern Haussmanian buildings of the 20th century to the concrete constructions of the 21st century. The sand of the nearby desert, transported by the wind, covers men, cars and buildings with an ocher veil. The city is huge and continues to grow. I have reduced it here to a few simple and emblematic shapes in a selection of colors evoking land, dust, religions... Acrylics on paper.
