Artist statement
LA RIVIÈRE series is a colorful series of 48 little squares reflecting the endless possibilities of playful modern abstracts.
Every glance at the artwork lets the viewer discover new details in the colors, materials and fine structures.
"The small squares fascinated me from the beginning and I dedicated a series to them.
I love the challenge of giving each small picture its own character and ultimately putting them all together to form a bigger picture.
Oil pastels, charcoal pencils, acrylic paint and a lot of fun are used when designing.
The clear arrangement of the 48 squares, each measuring 8x8 cm, gives the entire picture a harmonious, gentle appearance, including a slim solid wood frame with real oak veneer."
The size including the shadow gap frame is 104x84x3,5cm (40,9x33x1,38").
The artwork is varnished with a silky finish and ready to hang with a gallery wire on the back.
Sides painted white.
