About the art
Artist statement
An abstract piece with layers of oil paint applied with a palette knife. I felt the need to work a little more unrestrained with this work and back to explore working with more abstraction and working with oil. The piece is inspired by mood rather than imagery; the painting reflects a calm and quiet moment of peace.
Like all my pieces the work is highly textured to lend a 'feel' to the work. The canvas is painted around the edges in complementary colours and is ready for hanging.
The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
