Artist statement
his is a third painting in the series of rose paintings. This collage with strong and vibrant colours is inspired by the beauty of roses. Artist pigments, china paper, acrylics and charcoal on canvas board. I mixed my own paint with fine art pigments which lends luminosity to the work. The collage was built over many layers of fine, dyed china paper.
The deep edges of the gallery wrapped canvas are painted in complementary colours.
Hooks and cord are attached at the back - the canvas is ready for hanging.
The artwork is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
