Guan Yin on the Scholar Stone
Guan Yin on the Scholar Stone combines two motifs that I am currently working on: "scholar stones" and "Guanyin portraits." Of all kinds of images and writings on Guanyin, I especially like the ones depicting Guanyin as sitting on a rock, for I think they evoke a stronger sense of Zen. Therefore, I let the Guanyin in my imagination sit on my precious scholar stone, creating what I think is a perfect artistic mood.
