"Riddles" was painted while on vacation at my sister's house in California. She likes literary opera, classical music, and plays the violin herself. Every morning at breakfast, she would talk about Greek myths, Italian operas, and other topics. "Riddles" is one of the topics-that is the meaning of the riddle in Puccini's opera "Turandot". This has also become the theme of my series.
