About the art
Artist statement
This object is entirely handcrafted using coiling and sculpting techniques to grow ’slowly’, a process that allows me to observe where a piece intends to go.
For this body of work, I used a white paperclay. The surface is decorated with underglazes & ceramic pencil scribbles and is partly covered in a transparant glaze to add some highlights.
