Artist statement
Original wall art piece created by Danish artist Anne Nowak.
The work is made upon request and has no limited edition.
Every artwork is unique and it takes one week to produce one piece.
Floating as an alluring, multi-dimensional reflection on the wall, the art object represents an enchanting glimpse into an alternative sphere. Inspired by the luminous band of stars unfolding across the sky, the work captures a dreamy, vibrant reflection, eternally changing depending on the viewer’s perspective.
Anne Nowak (b. 1976) is a Danish artist based in Copenhagen. Although she uses materials as different as paper, mirrors, stones and fabric, and different techniques such as screen printing, drawing, spray painting and cyanotype, her aesthetics is driven by a fascination towards the outer hemisphere. Using a deeply poetical language, she creates magnetic works inviting the viewer on a mystical journey into micro universes of suns, moons and planets.
The art piece varies a bit from the photo as it is a handmade original.
