Artist statement
This work belongs to the series Dance of Opposites. That deals with the philosophical concept of unity and struggle of opposites. The eternal struggle between destruction and creation, life and death ........ My opposing dances also treat this duality in a plastic way, abstract elements that oppose each other creating sometimes in their inner space another different element fruit of this meeting. Other times the forms struggle to separate in a futile effort because they are part of an indivisible whole in which the value of each element is enhanced by its opposite. It is the eternal search for balance, harmony and freedom.
