About the art
Artist statement
This artwork is inspired by mushroom spores that spread in nature to create new mushrooms. The technique is pointillism : I move forward point by point.As with my Self-Portraits (see Self-Portrait), I set instructions (start from the center, go in all directions...) and my hand transgresses the program, improvises. This is my way of responding to technology : I introduce life into a predictable code.
