About the art
Artist statement
This work is part of my ongoing "Memories' Remnants" Project which I started in 2018. Collages are made daily from paper and other products such as envelopes, wrappers, and exhibition flyers before they make their way to recycling or the trash. These collages are created everyday and combine aspects of explicit and implicit memories to record his everyday activities.
I am selecting one Memories' Remnants collage from each month in 2021 which will be available exclusively on The Artling. This first one is from January 30th, 2021 and it includes part of the envelope from my monthly Tokyo Electric Power Company utility bill along with images from a free magazine that came in my mailbox.
