Artist statement
Bartos Saro is a reflective mapper with a sharp sense of texture, perspective and focus. His "Mirages" do not refer only to the transferred meaning of the word. Of the many materials he uses, sand is his favorite. So, however, a reference not only to the false hopes, appearances of something, delusions and illusions, but also to the phenomenon of so often observed in the desert, the morgan fata, the image created under the influence of the refraction of light.
"Mirages" by Bartos Saro are images of the imaginary linear world. Reality is enclosed in layers of colors and convexities, expressive structures and bursting, "imaginary" distances. The picture covers the gesture of overlapping granularity. The textures contrast with fragments of shiny, metallic shimmering surfaces created by other painting media.
