About the art
Artist statement
The relationship between form and color in the pictorial field requires a visually symbiotic presence. The challenge revolves around selecting a direction as a vehicle for colors, in addition to choosing the appropriate color and light for that purpose. This interaction creates a primary spatial illusion, along with side effects. I think areas of precisely defined colors, when pitted against each other, compete for dominance. In general, my compositions remain formal and symmetrical to be triggered by unexpected changes in color and light.
The artwork is a polyptych made up of 4 pieces, without an outer frame. This characteristic allows freedom of composition, being able to recreate different scenes from the same piece.
