I created this ceramic vessel after receiving a very pregnant photo of my niece’s belly. The monochromatic black finish emphasizes the vessel’s shape and form, allowing the physical contours to convey the emotional resonance tied to anticipation and creation. This piece serves as an artistic homage to fertility and the genesis of life, encapsulating within its silhouette not just a physical state but also the profound emotional connection to family and the cycle of life.
