When was the last time you truly saw yourself—not as a caregiver, a supporter, or someone defined by others' expectations, but as the person you are beneath it all? Sometimes, in our devotion to others, we lose sight of ourselves. Whether it's giving endlessly to those around us or feeling indebted to those who have cared for us, we often sacrifice pieces of our identity in the name of love and duty.

The third book in the 'Windy City' series by Liz Tomforde brought this struggle to life through the complex relationship between two characters who grapple with these very challenges. It reminded me of a powerful truth: love and care for others should never come at the cost of losing yourself. True happiness is found not in abandoning who you are but in embracing it fully.
