Artist statement
The print encompasses a speculative timeline that ranges from the very origins of Chinese letterforms to a future where language changes the nature of time. Primarily working through digital media, mediated sculptures, and the moving image, Brandon Tay’s works often complicate the distinctions between the tangible and the incorporeal, whilst addressing and contending with the relationality of their complex natures.
As part of the exhibition Brandon Tay: Form & Agency held at Yeo Workshop (26 August - 1 October 2023).
