Artist statement
'Encounter', or crossing paths, is an original 122 x 91cm (48 x 36 inch) artwork. Inspired by a journey through the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales where the wind is crisp and the early autumn colors are magnificent. There's something magical about sunset when nature signals there's a change coming for the new day. Implying a sense of emergence, this artwork creates a gentle feeling of freedom and enlightenment.
When making his art, Bruce searches for elements, structure and places that intuitively fit into 'his reality', creating imagery full of rhythms, colors, lines and most importantly, motion.
