Artist statement
FIESTA is the consequence of many of my previous paintings; Series such as "Afterhours" or "Iptics" converge in this new style of painting, where form and color have a predominant weight, and light, as traditionally conceived in painting, does not follow basic physical norms. Finding a compositional balance has been a very complex task, but light has had to surrender to color and form. There are no longer different natural or artificial points of luminosity, now the light comes from the artist himself.
