About the art
Artist statement
Shrinking forests can cause wide and reaching problems, including soil erosion, water cycle disruption, greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity losses. This painting invites the viewer to immerse themselves into the forest and take a walk following the robust green top of the trees all the way down to what represents a dark shadow of what could come to them if we don't protect their existence.
This painting was a finalist in the Mosman Art Prize 2019
