"Built in the 19th century by a famous financier-philanthropist, this research library opened its doors to everyone in the city of Baltimore. Its stunning architecture houses a 300,000 volume collection spanning a vast array of subjects and disciplines. As a photograph in Phase II of this series, it represents the value knowledge and books offer as intangible 'social currency.'
