Otter Dreamscape

I created this magnificent fast brush stroke with some shades of peaches and river otters swimming around where it connects to all other otters.

I used a lot of access ink on the brush to let some of the ink smudges and sprinkled access water on the paper. It formed complexity and organic forms. I’m fascinated by the interplay of colors, shapes, and patterns. This painting was produced through many happy accidents without thinking and planning. dilute acrylic paint to create soft watercolor effects, using Chinese ink and layering multiple transparent hues on paper for more textures and surprises.

This painting is unique because of the choice of black ink and the faces of river otters. The effect of the movement is like a colon and the brushstrokes are bold, confident vibrating with energy and strength the composition. I am a native of Singapore and due to my exposure to river otters. I delve deeper into the art of painting otters, illustrating the curiosity of the river creatures, and exploring the space of moving in and out of the water. Viewing the Singapore River is an inner sanctum for some of us.
