About the art
Artist statement
Neon is a one off painting, I usually work in series but this is the only version so far. It was in my solo show in London in 2012 and was on loan to a corporate company in the City of London during 2015-16. The idea for this painting was the city at night, when the colour is artificial and slightly out of focus, I used strong colours in similar tones and there is a variety of expressionist and hard edge painting to create movement on the canvas.
