About the art
Artist statement
The Template series dates back to 2012 and I have created several versions since experimenting with the technique of pouring. Earlier versions were on canvas but lately I have been working on paper, I am using high quality 400gsm archival paper which is heavy and durable. This is on of the first Template paintings that uses a background of layered metallic paint which changes colour depending on the viewpoint, the thick black paint on top has an almost 3D effect. This work is sold unframed but I would recommend it displayed in a tray frame with the image floated to create space around the art work.
