About the art
Artist statement
This painting, with its contrasting light beige lines in a dark background and the big moon overlooking the multiples mountains expressed the human journey to always go deep within to reach the guiding light.
It is part of a body of work called "Eternal Change", which explore the themes of permanence, adapting to change and letting go through the use of the symbols of the mountains and of the skies and sun cycles. Using the natural elements is a metaphor for the need of grounding to weather the overwhelming changes that one can face in life, the acceptance of natural cycles of letting go and starting again, of life and death.
The paintings of this series are also the expression of that special moment where we feel connected to bigger forces, making us feel we belong and are supported through our human journey, no matter the challenges.
