Artist statement
This work is part of a series of similar works consisting of adhesive masking tape painted over with acrylic paint when executing paintings with geometric pattern.
The tape is a leftover, originally used as a supporting material to produce clear edges on paintings. Collecting the tapes and mounting them onto a paper, like a collage, is creating a new value to the material. The tapes are mounted on the paper in a regular and linear way, combining a certain moment of uniqueness and coincidence.
