About the art
Artist statement
This piece calls on memories of sensational summers and glorious holidays. The piece was inspired by my memories of being a child and putting down my ice lolly and watching as the sun slowly melted it turning it from ice treat to a sticky jewel as it glistened.
The nostalgia evoked in this piece coupled with its highly contemporary and considered composition results in an artwork that enhances the space it hangs while delighting the eye.
