Framing: not necessary as gallery canvas depth is used with art falling over all sides to the original
Inspiration:
Sometimes you dream of large gestural brushstrokes and your space isn’t as big as what your imagination comes up with. A tribute to one of the greats and the song playing when this significant giant extra large or 3XXX #original came about. Layers are added with more paint to come once these dry. Meet “Raspberry Beret” This is ten feet tall but my most extensive to date is still “Life” at 14’ long which now hangs in Switzerland.
Darlene Watson works with a majority of large-scale abstraction pieces with spontaneous gestural brushstrokes of complete abandon. She is uninhibited and expresses her inner thoughts, feelings, surroundings or story to the art.
