Artist statement
This painting is about love so deep that you can hardly breathe and feel you cannot live without it. The story of Romeo and Juliet can be felt by those who love so much that it transcends time and space. We need to fulfill this love or we feel we could just 'die'. It is a beautiful and moving concept and hopefully this feeling is returned. The classics show us that we too are part of an existence that many before and many after will feel.
