Artist statement
If you think of ponds as a containment of a person's personality, this would be a very happy and colourful one. We need to express ourselves beyond just what we show people. Our lives are full of change and we change when we are with others.
This pond series for example blurs the lines between abstraction and impressionism with intense focus on loose application of colour and dynamic compositions. the pond series remains a commentary on contemporary aesthetics, giving a fresh composed breath to the reflection of nature and humanities' relationship with our environment.
