Artist statement
How it is to feel singled out, to be apart. Pressed into the corner. Ignored, but often highlighted. No escape. This is what I was looking for. So few flowers lend themselves this image idea. I can find many different stories with this image. The prisoner, the single person lost in the restrictions. The torture victim. The beaten wife, seeing no escape.
