Beauty has taken on new relevance in this instant gratification, digital and technology driven, 24/7 'always connected' universe that we now live in. My goal with these larger than life explorations into the depths and soul of a flower is not only to seduce the viewer into the multitude of its complexities but also to shift the dialogue inward by asking the viewer to slow down, to take the time to really look at the world around them, to see and question more than meets the eye, and to think about their place in life.
