Artist statement
Cliftons Art Prize 2017 (Singapore Region- Finalist)
This artwork is from my Para-series investigates the idea of text in the realm of Asemic Script or some call it Ecrituré. The use of charcoal creates accidental residues in the process perhaps highlights the potential repercussion of one’s words upon others, call on one to be mindful with casual words.
