About the art
Artist statement
PurpleKornScene is a minimalistic view on one of the main divine food that made America strong.
There are different varieties of purple corn in South America, all derived from a more ancestral line called k'culli (Quechua term), and which is still cultivated in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. Its color is due to anthocyanins, a natural, water-soluble pigment that is also found in blueberries, cherries, and raspberries. This is a very silent and peaceful moment at the Andes space.
