Artist statement
RH or Re-Building a Home are a series of drawings made with thread on paper where fragility and tension come together and which are inspired by the transformation of the shape of the new home to be built.
Sewing as an act of healing or the process of delicately spinning these works is a beautiful metaphor for repair, transformation, and building and joining the necessary points to create that new future, a way of weaving that link between the past and future, through now.
