Artist statement
This original piece has been created on 300 gsm Fabriano watercolour paper. It is inspired by Gustave Moreau's "Diogenes devoured by his horses" and Rilke's Second elegy, and the idea that "beauty is nothing but the onset of terror we're still able to bear"
