Artist statement
This illustration is part of a series of landscapes and architectural motives called For ever blue in which the primary drive has been to express the beauty of Prussian blue and then, from there, let the imagination enter a space of reverie and wonder.
Ink has become my favourite medium. As with watercolour I work here with unpredictability and risk. These two factors require of the artist presence but also a sense of openness to whatever comes up. Art making then becomes a sort of playful dialogue between the mind and what is happening.
Paper is cold press Daler-Rowney 300 GSM watercolour paper.
