*Diffraction is a certain set of phenomena observed
in the propagation of light in a medium with sharp
inhomogeneities, more simply - the enveloping
of obstacles by light waves.

Elena works at the intersection of traditional and new media, exploring the visual aesthetics in the fusion of spaces and the material world. She studies the topic of human psychological balance in the modern world, the problems of physical and mental resistance to a rapidly changing reality and the search for internal supports. As a fundamental basis, the author uses research into problems from the prism of philosophy, psychology and mythology. The translation of mythological images from traditional media into the digital space gives rise to a looping mechanics of awareness into the relevance of the eternal fundamental questions connected with the reality of existence. In the works we find the intertwining of the virtual and material worlds, which emphasizes the need to maintain a balance between the chaos of reality and the space of the individual, the solar genetic code and the creation of subconsciousness, which is reflected in many stages of the work.

The result of the author's research was the series of works "Anti-fragility”, which contains both digital works (Digital paintings, NFTs) and traditional media art (art objects, installations, prints). Prototypes of the series were found in the book "Anti-bone. How to benefit from chaos" Author: Nassim Taleb. The concept of Anti-fragility means the ability of an individual or an entire system not only to withstand unpredictable and destructive events, but thanks to these difficulties one becomes better and stronger. The state between vulnerability and invulnerability is called Anti-fragility and is associated by Taleb with the mythical Hydra, which cannot be destroyed. The symbol of transformation is the rainbow, invulnerability - Hydra, with its water element, became metaphorical reflections of these concepts in the works: Multiplication / Multiplication, Continuum, Hydra / Hydra, Balance / Equilibrium, Wavelength / Wavelength, Imaginarium, Invulnerability / In_vulnerability, etc. Digital works created on dibonds using acrylic glass, epoxy resin and iridescent film create the author's mixed media technique.
