Artist statement
Every minute, the human heart beats approximately 60 to 100 times. The heartbeat is sometimes gentle and composed; however, for some people, it is boisterous and thunderous. We fall, rise, run fast, plummet, unable to get up, get wounded, collide, get lost from all directions, repeatedly empty ourselves to then find ourselves again. Continuously dying, little by little every day, only to be reborn better. That's the thousands of heartbeats we have. Within the heartbeat that we are experiencing right now: We are all knights who had our battle to breathe in order to continue that beating heart.
