Artist statement
In my most recent work I make optimal use of the power of color and the simplicity of form. With these two basic elements I can experiment and create endlessly, always looking for the perfect composition. The painted paper gives a beautiful and surprising texture to the artwork.
This unique paper collage is made of partly new, painted paper and partly recycled paper and is glued to a wooden panel. The artwork is signed with a stamp on the panel and coated with a UV proof and a slightly water-repellent coating so that dirt can be removed with a soft damp cloth and the sun does not have too much influence on the artwork.
But never hang a work of art completely in the sun.
The artwork is glued on a wooden frame till the edge. So no frame is visible straight from the front, but it is visible from the side. It is also ready to hang. Size with frame is also 30 x 40 cm, and 3 cm thick.
