About the art
Artist statement
This sculpture is a 3-D translation of my paintings and here too I give balance to shape and color. This modern object consists of multiple stacked shapes that remain in balance despite their asymmetry. The color planes continue in the different shapes and thus also provide the visual balance. The epoxy layer has given it a beautiful shine and you can see the paint layer underneath as if you are looking through a magnifying glass.
This artwork is made of papier marche and weighted with quartz sand, then painted in a beautiful pattern and finished with a layer of resin (epoxy).
